FAQs

What does my ticket get me?

Your Bicentennial Ticket covers the cost of all weekend events from Friday night Sippers to the Monday Roll Call and Signing of the Oath.

I didn't buy a ticket. Can I still come?

The Friday night meeting is open to all, regardless of a ticket purchase.  If you are in town for the weekend, Society members may stop by Hotel C and sign the roll book as well.

What happens when I buy my ticket?

Shortly after your ticket purchase, you’ll recieve a digital receipt for your ticket.  As it gets closer to the event, you will receive both a hard copy ticket in the mail and a digital pass for the weekend.

What about lodging?

We have been working on partnering with all the nearby hotels to get group rates for that weekend. Please visit our Housing page for a list of hotels and their prices.

Can I bring my significant other?

Of course! They will need to purchase their own ticket for the weekend festivities.

What about childcare?

We are working with UVA Alumni Association and following their model of childcare that is successfully used for UVA reunions.

Is the Bicentennial Banquet a black-tie dinner?

The Bicentennial Banquet is a not a black-tie dinner. It is black-tie optional (though encouraged). The most important thing is that you attend and are comfortable for the evening with all your favorite Society friends.

Why are there different prices for tickets?

In order to ensure the event is accessible to all, we have created three categories of tickets: one each for Current Students, one for Young Alumni (graduates from the Class of 2019, through 2024) and one for General Alumni.

Will there be other Society merchandise to buy?

Yes, we are working on getting past and present Society merch, as well as limited edition Bicentennial merch, available for purchase for the Bicentennial.
